Beacon Cooking Club

Teaching kids how to cook makes them healthier, but it also does a lot more. It's a great way to help them build healthy habits that will carry them into adulthood. It is a way to reinforce and teach subjects like science, math, and reading, and provides a fun, hands-on way to introduce them to other life skills such as budgeting, problem-solving, grocery shopping and an activity that helps build independence and self-confidence.

We are very proud of our young chefs as they learn to follow recipes, try new and different foods and most importantly work as a team.  Our top chefs compete for the title of Beacon Master Chefs at the end of each year.  Chefs are rated on teamwork, recipe, safety, presentation and taste.

Our annual family dinner is held in June, where the entire meal is prepared by our chefs and all Beacon families are invited to participate.  Over 100 family members and chefs participate in this amazing event.

We look forward to seeing you at our table.
