Aim for the Stars

TEN FUN FACTS:
1. I was born in California and moved to New Jersey in 4th grade.
2. I love roller coasters; the loopier the better.
3. I am bilingual; I am at a middle school level in Korean.
4. I had 13 hamsters before (not all at once).
5. I used to adore dogs and dislike cats because of the movie Lady and the Tramp, and the stigma of cats in Korean culture BUT now I like felines a tad bit more.
6. 3 more continents to visit - Africa, Oceana, and Antarctica.
7. If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it'd be sushi.
8. Outdoor activities I prefer are kayaking, hiking, and camping.
9. Weirdest food I've had was live baby octopus, it was squirming in my mouth and you had to be careful that the suctions wouldn't get stuck in your esophagus.
10. I have a pet stroller and a cat room for my felines.
I am absolutely thrilled to be working with your children and with you. This year, as they are in the 8th Grade, it is a very important year as they prepare for high school. The 8th Grade team of teachers have high expectations for these bright and brilliant scholars, and will continue to push them to do their best until they walk down the aisle for their graduation ceremony and diplomas. Let's support each other and support our children! All About Me: My name is Ms. An (pronounced as 'on' and not 'an'). From 2010-2015, I worked as a Native English Teacher in S. Korea.  Starting from 2016, I have been an educator in NYC DOE and this is my fifth year at CMSP 328. I received a Bachelor's in Montclair University and have a Master's for SWD 7-12 in St. John's University. Currently, I am working on my +30 and I'm a firm believer in always learning at all times. <3
 
You will find me working side by side with Ms. McKeever and Ms. Ramirez with the 801 class in Math, Science, and English for Reading and Writing. I also work closely with Mr. Russo with IEP's and data analysis with my team for implicit instruction. :)
